Maryland Adventure 2023

 The road too travelled.

Back in 2009 I tried to start this blog and failed. In fact, until tonight, I had forgotten I had attempted to create this blog back then.

(If I recall correctly, I only made an account so that I could comment and feel connected with a few other blogs I followed which were created by friends of mine.)

Unfortunately forgetting is not unusual for me. My husband can attest to the many started interests and hobbies I have started, got distracted from, and didn't return to for months, or even years.

You should see my crafting corner back home.

Speaking of home, I am currently 500 miles or more from mine. Sitting in a beautiful, but affordable Airbnb, listening to the birds come to roost with their chicks, all snug and tucked around the various nooks and crannies in the garden, the eves, and neighbor's bushes.

This is the first time I have been away from my husband and children for any real length of time. Due to more than I can share in one post regarding these last 4 years, we are trying something different to get caught up on some bills and projects.

A Travel Contract just outside of Baltimore Maryland. The weather has been beautiful so far and the people diverse, colorful, and friendly.

Except when driving.  The people up here love their horns. I digress.

While packing I decided I would bring some of those crafting supplies with me. The idea being if I keep myself busy it won't hurt so much to be away from my loved ones.

All my many goals.

Before I left, I told my husband I was going to get serious about my writing and so here I am. This little Blog won't be the only thing I will be creating on this journey, and this is your invitation to follow along and see what some time and space can create.

This week's photo dump.

I love reading over the Conference talks.

Some light sketching after my walk in Solder's Delight in Maryland.
My mini flower garden I created after receiving a free sweet potato vine from work.

One of my favorite finds during my hike this week in Solder's delight.

I really am happy in this picture, just exhausted after 8 hrs. of orientation.

Native violets, MD
Invasive, but beautiful Wisteria. (Which has probably been there longer than the land has been a park.)

Still haven't looked up the name of these miniature beauties.

Til next week...
